Macy's

I purchased a mattress cover online through the Macy's site. Unfortunately, it was not a quality product. Therefore, I submitted a request to return it online. They mentioned this location was a drop off point so I waited until 11:00 AM to drop it off during the holiday season. Unfortunately, Macy's return location options were not accurate and they do not take product back at this store unless they carry the item in their furniture store.. sooo I had to drive all the way over to the mall fighting the traffic to return the item I purchased. From what I saw in the short time I spent there, they had nice furniture.

We bought a custom sofa from Macy's furniture in Boca Raton, FL. The service was very good when ordering the sofa, however, about 2 months after having the sofa delivered, we discovered a nail sticking up from the back of the sofa. We found out when my 7-year old son cut his leg wide open when dragging it across the nail and was bleeding profusely from the back of his leg. We have since called customer service who has been very unhelpful ... they sent out a third party to look at the sofa, but we never heard anything back. When we called customer service back, they said they had no record of anyone coming to our house. We don't know why this issue wouldn't be handled urgently, as the injury left a permanent scar on our son and could have been 10x worse if it were an eye or face. Maybe this will get someone's attention from Macy's...

I purchased an amazing sectional back in 2016 and bought the protection plan for 5 years as Macy's gives you back the money if you dont file a claim. I called the store last year when I thought my warranty expired and the sales rep told me that I had another year. Well, la te da, I called to file for the voucher, which has to be within 90 days of it expiring, and guess what, it expired last year. So the rep lied to me and now I am out the $500 voucher. Check your receipts folks.

We purchased a couch with 2 electric recliners and a console with electric plug and 2 USB ports. Approximately 10 days after delivery the console stoped working. I called customer service who then transferred me to furniture customer service . They scheduled an appt for repair. They came promptly and quickly diagnosed the problem as a simple switch. They do not carry parts so they said it would have to be ordered and it wouldn’t be long because it was a common part. A couple of days passed and I called to check status. Customer service knew nothing about the part and I was frustrated and after a half hr wait they finally got the part ordered. They said the part will come from vendor within 4-6 wks maybe sooner. I asked if they would update me as to delivery. They said no because the vendor doesn’t notify them. I would have to wait till the part arrives then call them back and they would schedule repair. I find it astonishing that Macy’s is unable to provide appropriate customer service and follow up with its customers. Apparently once they make their sales they are no longer interested in you. I guess they don’t need repeat business. Churn and burn should be their motto.

I never write reviews, but had to due to the awful experience I have had. DO NOT buy anything from this store. I ordered a bedroom set. The bed was delivered, but the delivery guys were not able to put together as they said the hardware was not in the box. One of the end tables had paint already coming off and two drawers in the dresser would not close. You would think due to the above that the saleswoman, Rochelle, I bought it from and customer service would rectify this asap. Rochelle the sales woman was no help at all and either was the customer service I reached out to by phone. This has taken me hours on the phone and I still have no resolution. I will never go to Macy's again.

Excellent experience today. I started shopping for a mattress set in mid February. Was at this location a total of 3 times... First time the saleswoman was pushy and borderline obnoxious... Second time the salesman left me in the mattress dept and never came back. Today was my lucky day as I wound up with Karlene and she was awesome! Helpful and patient and very knowledgeable. She made the process totally painless for me.
